Inspired by an old teapot, which is missing a leg and you have to be careful when placing it on the table, it was the topic of many talks about it, when the grandmother used to meet with her friends...what if it was time to change it, because there are much more comfortable ones with new designs, like some that we have given you... my grandmother always shook her head... saying no, no, nooo, I know you're right, I told them, but it was the first one I used when we used to meet and we were still all single, do you remember? how much we laughed, and cried. How many times do we take refuge in their delight with small sips of the steaming tea, between sad words or between laughter and delusional jokes about the new situations when we meet the boys, who are now your husbands. Or when a problem arose and we tried to find a solution and above all calm down. It is full of history, the history of our lives, it is part of mine and also of yours, I know it is an old junk, but when I look at it I am filled with nostalgia and I remember everything we have experienced, and a wonderful smile comes out. makes her a very precious treasure for me, in reality she is only the symbol of my experiences and above all of my words... she is old, like me, but I want her by my side together with all of you, and it is a fact that I don't want to give up, until the last breath of my life.

    Alberto Rafols-Casamada (Barcelona, 1923 – 2009), was a poet and painter. Rafols-Casamada began his studies in architecture but abandoned them to dedicate himself fully to the visual arts, thanks to the support of his father, Albert Ràfols i Cullerés. The painter was awarded the National Prize for Plastic Arts by the Ministry of Culture in 1980, the National Prize for Visual Arts of Catalonia in 2003 and was an honorary academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
