53 x 30 cm. By immersing himself in the scene with his lens, he creates a journey within the shop window, seeking that cinematic voyage through time, creating parallel worlds, accompanying natural light and its shadows, blending them with reflections and real elements to achieve this parallelism. Signed on the reverse in pencil, certificate of authenticity MOMOKO I/XXX (Paris, 1965). A photographer specializing in imagery, MOMOKO is an artistic photographer. His work is characterized by a painterly atmosphere; his handling of color, framing, light, speed, and abstraction are his primary interests when creating an image, not only with the technical effect but also the anecdotal one—it will be, or it won't be. He is interested in people interpreting his photographs, creating doubt and mystery. This compels the viewer to look at it for a while and delve into the textures. The idea is to create a sense of unease, to make it seem as if the print might begin to move at any moment, creating figures that only the viewer in person can identify. He makes it clear that it is not just a photograph, but that it can be interpreted as a frame from his imagination. He likes to use mixed techniques—simple, direct, and manual—no digital processes. He uses baryta paper, primarily used in black and white photography. Virgili also adapts it to color, giving it his personal touch by removing the polyethylene from regular paper and using a barium sulfate coating, "baryta," which gives the coating a natural sheen. His Artworks have been exhibited in countries including Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, China, Japan, the USA, Brazil, Argentina, etc. (THE JOURNEYS OF A CREATOR). The paths and experiences that led him to this world of abstract art began unexpectedly. After years painting landscapes and figurative oil paintings, that moment was a ray of light, a spark of passion and enthusiasm, filled with thoughts and daydreams of expressing what chance, at times, flows through your mind with a sense of indifference. Motivation, sacrifice, and perseverance are necessary to achieve your own identity and allow you to visualize the unknown and profound inner world in order to transmit the gestural and informal magic onto the canvas, board, or paper. of a modus operandi that characterizes him. The creation of his Artworks allows him to communicate a style of influential sensations capable of attracting the viewer. My artistic journey began in the early 1980s with a strong inclination towards landscape painting and the use of oil paint, representing natural scenes with precision and sensitivity. This approach was focused on capturing the beauty of the environment through a figurative and technical language. Over time, I experienced an evolution in my style, moving away from realism to delve into abstract art. This change allowed me to free my creativity from formal limitations, exploring forms, colors, and textures that do not respond to a literal representation of the world, but rather to a more intimate and emotional reflection of my thoughts and perceptions. In abstraction, I found a freer and more personal medium to express what flows through my mind, allowing my emotions, ideas, and inner visions to take shape without restrictions. This transition marked a new stage in my Artwork, where gesture, spontaneity, and intuition became the protagonists. The content of this expression is the humble reflection of an abstract mind.
