Autores: Joan Miró y Joan Gardy Artigas. Título: Centenario nacimiento de Pablo Picasso, Unesco, 1981. Descripción: medalla de plata editada por la UNESCO en 1981 para celebrar el centenario del nacimiento de Pablo Picasso. El amigo y compatriota de Picasso, Joan Miró, que por ese entonces era presidente de honor de la Asociación Internacional de Artes Plásticas, ejecutó el diseño original de la medalla e hizo donación del mismo a la UNESCO. Fue otro artista español, Joan Gardy Artigas, amigo de Miró, quien ejecutó el modelo a partir del cual se acuñó la medalla. El anverso de la medalla lleva la inscripción Pablo Picasso – Málaga – 25.X.1881 y tiene “en el centro un ojo, fijo y alerta, rodeado de inscripciones mágicas y musicales, como el ojo de Picasso…”, según la descripción que hizo el propio Miró. En el reverso se ve un paisaje con un campo desértico, un árbol, una estrella en el horizonte y la firma de Miró. Medidas de la medalla 40x30x3 mm. Dentro de caja original de 9x9x2,5 cm. En buenas condiciones.
