Joan Pere Viladecans is a painter, engraver and lithographer, he also carries out an intense parallel activity as a creator of posters and book and record covers. He began painting at the end of the '70s and, from the beginning, he captured the interest of personalities from the art world. Viladecans is a constant experimenter, which leads him to use different techniques, and also to make himself the paper to paint on. The artist always reflects on his own trade as a painter, on art and on painting itself. And the fruit of his meditation is the Artwork. From a formal point of view, his Artwork is a constant dialogue between figuration and abstraction, always with the permanent obsession of endowing his images with poetic content. His great fondness for literature is perceived in his Artwork, which unites art and literature. Viladecans has been awarded different prizes and his Artwork has been exhibited here and abroad.
